Learn the fundamentals of weaving while crafting your own black ash basket in the Living Traditions Studio. Guided by John, you will learn about working with black ash and the process of pounding splints before weaving your basket in a welcoming, hands-on environment.
By the end of the day, you will have created a square-to-round black ash gathering basket measuring approximately 5 inches tall and 6–9 inches in diameter — a beautiful and functional piece. This is a very unique workshop!
