Inukshuk made by Mamagaters Glass Designs has fishing line attached for hanging.
In 2013, while looking for a new project to offer some stress relief, the artist behind Mamagaters Glass Designs was introduced to the art of stained glass. She was instantly inspired by the possibilities.
In 2015, she started working with glass full time. The complexity of working with glass keeps things exciting. Knowing that every piece of glass reacts differently and tolerates pressure and heat differently keeps her on her toes.
She wants her artwork to entice the viewer to feel the movement in a landscape, feel the whimsy in an ornament, feel the light shining through a suncatcher. She wants to inspire a smile with her art. She wants people to look at her art and feel inspired to go out and find a little beauty in the everyday.
