Thomas Lycett has had a love of both paddling and rhyme all of his life, it seemed only likely that one day the two would meet.
This book is the consummation of buoyant grace and words given to the moment, for anyone who has felt the tranquility and agility found in a canoe or kayak.
Starry nights, torrent rapids, winding rivers, peaceful waters and the folly of overnight tripping are all interpreted in words that are both genuine and thought inspiring. We hope you enjoy this collection.
Thomas Lycett spent his summers growing up at the family cottage near Algonquin Park. Much of his summers were spent paddling Mink Lake or overnight tripping in the park. Thomas, now a resident of Bobcaygeon, purchased his first kayak in 2007 and has found unlimited enjoyment exploring the waters of the Kawarthas, Muskoka, Prince Edward County and the North Channel of Georgian Bay.
